  Julia Hasdeu’s Diary

It is a notebook with red covers, comprising of around fifty pages, full of various notes dating from the period 1881-1882. In the diary there are: the school timetable, homework, the child’s thoughts, literary attempts, drawings and…dreams. Julia dreamt of becoming a famous playwright whose theatre plays would be staged at the theatres from Paris (the French Comedy and Odeon), and the performances to be a huge success. The diary is exhibited in the room with calla lilies from the castle, near Julia’s doll.
